LATE BREAKING NEWS: CPSP is now a member of the Coalition on Ministry in Specialized Settings (COMISS)

CPSP received an unanimous vote to become a member of COMISS. The vote was taken 10:00 AM Monday morning during the meeting of COMISS held in Washington, DC. CPSP will be taking its place at the table with this accreditation body involved in institutional ministry. Application for membership into COMISS was made by CPSP in November of 1998.

Ken Blank, President of CPSP, has provided exceptional leadership to accomplish this mission for the CPSP community.

A Study in Contrast, Don Gum "So now we are turning the corner in CPSP. As we do, I hope the vision can live on a while longer. It is indeed terrifying to lead and not control but this is what we set out to do differently. Our relationships are born out of our covenant "not to control" each other to "make room" for each other and to be accountable to each other. ... Let us be accountable members of COMISS who speak with authority about what we have learned and experienced. Let us be great leaders and worthy adversaries. But, let the house of cards fall before we forsake the Pastoral Relationships upon which our community relies. For in the end, it may well be true that it is not in what we birthed or attained that our honor will be judged but in what we have been willing to gratefully give away... "
