The CPSP Pastoral Report has created a special blog, PASTORAL CARE & COUNSELING RESPONSE:A communication center dedicated to clinically trained clergy's response to the Hurricane Katrina disaster. (http://cpsp.typepad.com/hurricane_katrina/)
I hope there exist a more central and sophisticated communication web-based center that will enable the clinical pastoral community to better communicate and coordinate our pastoral response to the Hurricane Katrina Disaster. For now this might be it. If I'm incorrect, this blog will be shut down and you will be directed to the appropriate web site.
Please supply information. For now, if you send me news and information related to a clinical pastoral response, I will post it. I also encourage you to use the "Comment" feature below each post to further enhance communication.
We need:
A few good articles on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
A collection of the list were survivors and the loved ones of survivors can send their messages.
Names and contact information for all in the clinical pastoral community who are heading up their organizations response to this tragedy.
Your ideas as to how clinical pastoral practitioners can best respond to this human tragedy. -Perry Miller, Editor
