WATCH OUT VIRGINIA BEACH, HERE COMES THE CPSP

main.jpg

From all over the country members of the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy will flock to Virginia Beach for what will be its fourteenth Annual Plenary. As always the gathering of the community will be spirited, informative and also just fun.

Susan McDogual's Why I Refused to Testify Spirituality and What I Learned in Jail promises to be stimulating. We will hear from Douglas M. Ronsheim, Director of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors on Current Issues in the Field of Pastoral Counseling. The Ultimate Connection: Sexuality and Spirituality will be presented by William R. Stayton, Th.D., Ph.D. The Helen Flanders Dunbar Award for Significant Contributions to the Field of Clinical Pastoral Training will be awarded to Myron Madden, PhD. Dr. Madden will address the community. As always, Raymond Lawrence, General Secretary will give his Annual State of the Community address.

In addition to the above presentations are the small groups. Each participant is assigned a peer group where papers, clinical cases, personal and professional issues are addressed within a dynamic group process. This dimension is the heart and soul of the Plenary.

I'll See you at the beach! -Perry Miller, Editor
