Raymond Lawrence, CPSP General Secretary, quoted in New York Times

In the May 7, 2000 edition of the New York Times Raymond Lawrence and Richard Sloan are quoted in an article entitled Religion and Health: New Research Revives an Old Debate. Both Lawrence and Sloan challenge the popular call for physicians to introduce spirituality into their medical practice.

If you don't have a copy of the New York Times the article can be found on their web site. Readers can refer to Sloan's address to the CPSP 2001 Plenary: Religion, Spirituality and Medicine by Richard P. Sloan, Ph.D. and to Lawrence's The Witches' Brew of Spirituality and Medicine.
